Nicola Caton, and Molly McKeown and Phoebe Wigglesworth.
THREE outstanding students from a Blackburn school will be performing with some of the best dancers in the North West.
Molly McKeown, Nicola Caton and Phoebe Wigglesworth are among the elite dancers who have successfully auditioned for this year’s St Mary’s College Youth Dance Festival.
Elissa Best, head of dance at St Mary’s, said the girls have shown tremendous dedication to the art and regularly travelled around the country to train and perform.
Every weekend Molly, 16, from Accrington, travels to Scotland to develop her specialist dance training in Ayre and travels the country to perform. She is currently the Scottish International Dance Festival youth champion 2012.
Nicola Caton, 17, from Blackburn, travels to Manchester four nights a week for training at Centre Pointe.
She was recently selected from hundreds of dancers to perform at the Dance Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Phoebe Wigglesworth, 16, from Burnley, travels to Manchester every weekend to train at The Lowry, Salford.
She auditioned to become one of only 20 dancers to be offered a place on the Centre for Advanced Training programme.
Elissa said: “It is very exciting for St Mary’s College to have such a range of talented dancers.”
