A £38,000 benefits cheat who struck over about five years has walked free from court.

Jacqueline Nankunda, 26,of Kingsbury Place, Burnley, had admitted five allegations of failing to promptly notify a change in circumstances and one count of making a false representation to obtain benefit.

Nankunda, who has no previous convictions, received 18 weeks in prison, suspended for a year, with the Lancashire Women's Specified Activity Requirement. She must pay £400 costs.
