Burnley brewery toasts its best year yet
5:00pm Monday 26th November 2012 in News
BURNLEY brewery Moorhouse’s has revealed it sold over 500,000 extra pints last month compared to October 2011.
The firm last year opened a new £4.2million site, complete with visitors’ centre and bistro, capable of producing over 1,000 barrels of beer every week.
The success was in no small part thanks to the 400th anniversary of the Pendle Witch Trials, which had a big impact on tourism in East Lancashire.
The company has enjoyed its best year since being set up in 1865 with the October sales showing an increase of almost 36per cent on last year.
