Blackburn man, 70, on indecent assault charges

TERRANCE Saunders, 70, of St Michaels Close, Blackburn, was committed on bail to Preston Crown Court when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates.

Saunders faces five charges of indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 14 and five charges of gross indecency with the same girl.

The offences are alleged to have been committed between October 1971 and October 1978.
