Fire in Darwen loft

THE loft of a mid-terrace fire caught fire causing damage to the loft and bathroom.
Firefighters were called to the Lloyd Street home in Darwen at 11.17pm.
They used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire and specialist thermal imaging equipment to ensure the fire was completely out.
The fire partly damaged the loft and caused smoke damage to the bathroom.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
