THE Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen is celebrating a double victory, after two of his daughters, who are also both mayoresses for the borough, graduated from University Centre at Blackburn College.
Daughters Sonia and Bushra Khan achieved BA (Hons) in Criminology and BA (Hons) Care Practice, respectively, in front of their father and mayor, Coun Zamir Khan.
Coun Khan said: “This ceremony was extra special for my wife and I as we had two daughters graduating from Blackburn College. I must be the first mayor to see two daughters, who are also mayoresses, graduate at the same ceremony.”
