Charity appeals for help to make new Blackburn store a success

THE British Heart Foundation (BHF) is appealing to the Blackburn community to help make their new furniture and electrical store a success.

Unwanted good are needed for the shop due to open in 79 Darwen Street, on Tuesday, November 20.

This will be the 154th furniture and electrical store to open in the UK for BHF, which combine to help raise £31million annually, which goes towards the fight against heart disease – the UK’s biggest killer.

Trudy Warburton, area manager said: “With the support of the Blackburn community, we are hoping to make this new BHF furniture and electrical Store a huge success.

“We need to fill the store with donated goods before we open so we are urging people if they are having a clearout to book a free collection with us – it’s an easy way to support the nation’s heart charity.”

To arrange a free collection, call the store on 0844 848 9615 or visit bhf.org.uk/free to book your collection online.

I don't think I'll bother.
I haven't spent a penny with the BHF since they started campaigning for smoking in cars to be banned and cigarettes to be sold in plain packaging.
Stop spending our donations on lobbying the government and treating adults like children and I might start shopping with you again.
Until then, there are many other worthy charity shops where I can spend my cash,
