Blackburn's veteran midfielder Tugay has this afternoon signed a 12-month extension to his contract at Ewood Park.

The 37-year-old, who was capped 94 times by Turkey, has committed to his eighth season with Rovers.

Tugay was signed from Rangers by former Blackburn boss Graeme Souness in 2001 and has made more than 250 appearances, scoring 12 goals.

He began his career with Istanbul giants Galatasaray before moving to Scotland in 2000.

Alright dudes, can anyone confirm that our Turkish Delight is buying an eating establishment and opening a ski school. I have heard this from about 3 different sources as well as on here and wondered if it was true. I would love the notion of eating at "Tugay's!"...

Shine on you crazy diamonds...

Amdy Faye, Hossam Ghaly...

When are we going to be linked with the players Hughes said he wants; 'Players who will improve the first eleven'

The two above and probably the rest of the players we'll get linked witharen't even good enough to be squad players.

I trust Hughes will not recruit from the premiership where all the quality is overpriced, and have even more trust that the media will not speculate on the actual players we will end up signing.

Abosolutely great news!!! Liverpool can stick Gerrard, Chelsea can stick Lampard, Utd can stick Ronaldo and Arsenal can stick Fabregas. We have unvield a little gem in 37 year old Tugay. For Christ's sake let's not get carried away. Yea he's been great but he can't go on forever. We should have put him out to graze and said thanks but no thanks.
