ALL the fun of the fair is coming to Clitheroe this weekend when the town hosts the second annual Clitheroe Festival Weekend.
Organisers say they hope the event will be even bigger and better than last year.
And they look set to succeed in their challenge.
In addition to last year's favourites: the Steam Bus trips to Bashall Barn, the Beer Festival, the old fashioned fun-fair, American cars, battle scene re-enactment and the diverse musical offerings, this year there's plenty of extras.
Most notably, the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment with their aerial ropeway, assault course and paintballing; skate boarding and BMX competition organised by Oasis; a flag festival; and the return of the SheepFest.
In short, there's something for everyone.
The fun started last night with music from Cheatin' Hearts R&B band and the opening of the weekend-long Clitheroe Beer Festival at St Mary's, Church Street.
Events will be continuing all over the weekend at locations around the town centre, until Sunday evening.
Today (Saturday) the line-up includes youth bands at the bandstand, Morris dancers and a busking competition in the town centre, a birds of prey show in the Castle grounds, a railway exhibition at the Platform Gallery, and guided tours in an old Ribble bus, to name but a few.
The fun and games will be rounded off with evening's entertainment with a hip-hop and beats night from 7.30pm at The Grand, York Street.
The tomorrow, the fun continues with American cars in Castle Field, a skateboarding competition at the stakepark, a medieval battle re-enactment in Castle Field and Sheep Fest all over the town.
A full programme of all the events will be available from Clitheroe Visitor Information Centre.
