Blackburn teen critical after Garstang fork lift truck accident

A TEENAGER was today in a critical condition in the Royal Preston Hospital after being injured in a fork lift truck accident.

The Blackburn teen, who has not been named, sustained serious back injuries when he was thrown from a fork lift truck.

Police said the vehicle had overturned at welding firm Austin Walmsley Ltd, Leach Field Industrial Estate, Garstang, at around 1.15pm on Tuesday.

An investigation has been launched by police and the Health and Safety Executive into the incident.

Poor lad, I hope he gets well soon. I took my stacker driving test just last week and know all too well the dangers. They are lethal when they tip over.
