Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen has agreed a new contract at Turf Moor.

The 32-year-old Dane's current deal was due to expire this summer, but he has verbally agreed a new two year contract, which will run until the end of the 2009/10 campaign.

And Clarets boss Owen Coyle admitted he was pleased to have secured his services: "I am delighted that Brian has verbally agreed a new two year deal.

"He understands that there will be fierce competition, but we welcome his decision and look forward to him signing in due course."

Jensen, Burnley's current longest serving player, arrived at Turf Moor from West Bromwich Albion in summer 2003, and has made 19 league starts this season.

Oi you lot!!!!!

Watch me go next season, I will be play magnificent next season. Just you watch!!

I will win the 'best goalkeeper of the year award' next season and then the Ba$tards down the road will buy me for £4million pounds to replace grey haired Friedel. But I will not be there long as I will move back to Denmark after 1 month, maybe 1 day. Can't stand the Ba$tards!

The problem with the 'BEAST' is that on his day he can be a superb keeper, but then again you wait for his howlers. I would rather see us keep Jensen rather than Kiraly; so happy there. Can we get rid of Kiraly in the close-season, he says he wants to stay???? Hope not. Lets hope Coyle knows what he is doing. Lets get a good solid keeper in and make Jensen compete for that number 1 jersey next season. Onwards and Upwards!! :)

Well, not exactly the goalkeeping choice I wanted at the Turf, but, out of the Beast and PJ Man, it has to be beast every day of the week!

We still need another keeper to keep Beast on his toes so that he doesn't become complacent.

I just hope that there is some money somewhere!

Is my comment in any way slating the team.....no, i mearly said that both keepers dropped some pretty hairy clangers....FACT and had a litle grumble about the prices of players. Dont lecture me about being positive. We need a better keeper than the "Beast" The mistakes from both keepers probably even out match winning saves! Its their job! the whole team needs a reshuffle and some investment.

He's dropped a few clangers but so did Gabor.....I read in the Sun today that Petr Cech is considering his future at Chelsea, offers in the region of £32,000,000....scrap the stadium re development get a 2million loan to add to the 30million for the stadium and we could possibly have the best goal keeper in the world at the Turf!!!!!!!What about Ronaldo, £100,000,000 Real madrid are reportedly ready too bid. No fvcking wonder clubs like us never get anywhere, those fees are bloody rediculous.....Whats happening on the Goal King Cole front, any news

Oh well. Have to stick to burgers now. There will definatly be a pie shortage now he is staying around the county.
No wonder he is delighted, new 2 year deal for making mistakes all season, happy days.
