    Thief’s taste

A HUNGRY thief broke into a cafe and stole £300 worth of sausages.

Quantities of bacon and chocolate were also taken during the raid on Jack's Cafe, Darwen Street, Blackburn.

The cafe was broken into on Monday night. Police believe that the thief climbed over a rear wall at the property before smashing a skylight to get in.

A charity tin was also taken during the burglary.

Police are now studying forensic evidence, including a footprint left inside the cafe.

Anyone with information about the incident, including anyone who has been offered meat for sal, is asked to contact police on 01254 51212.
