Burnley hall’s plea for war memories

TOWNELEY Hall is asking residents to help them commemorate the 90th anniversay of the end of the First World War by sharing items and stories of local families.

Towneley staff are keen to include as many different stories as possible with loans from the local community.

They would like to show personal items such as photographs, postcards, letters and three-dimensional items which relate to a particular person.

If you think you can help or would like more information please contact Mike Townend, Keeper of History at Towneley, on 01282 424213 or by email mtownend@burnley.gov.uk
