AN old boy of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, is seeking his best friend from his classroom days.

Raymond Ryden, 83, was in forms 4A and 5A in 1939-41.

He said: “My best school friend was Brian Heys, who would be the same age as me.

"I regret not keeping in touch, but the war disrupted so much of our lives."
