I am looking for information on my great grandfather whose last name was Whittaker.
He emigrated from Colne to New York in the 1890s and was planning to visit his daughter Mary Jane Howarth/nee Bulcock in the 1930s or 1940s.
He died before he could make it.
He was from Colne and I am wondering if there are any Whittakers in Colne who remember this man.
He was in the catering business in New York.
