CAST members at Pendle Hippodrome will most certainly be ‘holding on to their hats’ in the autumn as the Colne company presents The Full Monty.
Based on the famous film of the same name, the musical moves the action to America — where six unemployed steel workers and their families face redundancy, loss of self-esteem and personal crisis in their lives.
Already, the six brave men leading the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company cast are in rehearsal to bare all for their art.
Gary Leonard takes on the role of Jerry, with Steve Royle as Harold, Josh Hindle as Malcolm and Rob Hartley as Ethan.
Two newcomers will make their Hippodrome debuts; Mike Wignall will play Dave and Antoni Savage will play Horse for a seventh time.
Hippodrome spokeswoman Milly Greenwood said: “The show contains a virtual whirl-wind of fabulous music, laugh-ter, tears and every emotion under the sun.
“And the hats? Well they really do come off!
“But if you think the show is just about the final ‘revealing’ scene then think again.
“The Full Monty is funny and sad but most of all absolutely hilarious as they find the ability to have fun, renew self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the individual courage to face their demons in this fabulous musical.
“This show is not for the easily offended as it contains adult humour, strong language and male nudity but it should be an absolute blast.”
