A DREAM of a pantomime is promised by St Mary’s Panto Group as they present the classic tale of Cinderella.

Almost 50 young performers will take to the stage from Thursday to Sunday to tell the story of poor Cinders as she tries to find her Prince Charming, thwarted by her Ugly Sisters.

Playing the title role is Jess Brindle, with Jenna Murray as Charming and Lucy Fox as his servant Dandini. Fighting for good and bad are Megan Rawnsley and Stephanie Tattersall Wanda and Zelda.

Also in the principal roles are Jen Thelwell as Boris, Aimee Laing as Lavatrina, Shannon Doolin as Buttons, Joseph Allen and George Bentley as Trick and Treat, and Brogan Hibbert as Pongo.

A 30-strong chorus, as well as a team of seven dancers complete the line up for the production at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre.

Producer Jackie Doolin said: Kids get a bad press these days but I find it an honour and a privilege to work with these kids in the cast, who show great dedication from beginning to end.

“It’s not the easiest job getting the show to final curtain, but it’s one of the proudest things I do.”

The show is tag-lined: “A dream is a wish your heart makes...”
