EAST Lancashire runners of all abilities are being called upon to take part in the Ribble Way Run.
The 10k fun run, which has been organised by the Rotary Club of Preston Guild, will take place on September 10 on part of the 72 mile Ribble Way footpath.
The race will start and finish at the Dolphin inn, Longton and was devised by Rotary Club member Neil Fletcher, who based the route on his own training routine, which takes him along the Ribble Way.
There will also be a 3k fun run for those who want to get involved, but do not feel up to the full 10K, as well as events for serious running enthusiasts.
There will be an entry fee for each race with all proceeds going to charity.
