BLACKBURN Arts Club are ready to set off on a school trip, taking 2010’s award-winning Flint Street Nativity on tour.

Despite being thwarted by heavy snow and ice when the play was staged at the Gibraltar Street club, director Alison Bell went on to win the NODA NW award for best artistic direction of a play for her work.

Next month, the cast will come together once more for a run at the club, from December 4 to 8, and at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall on December 14, as well as charity performances in aid of Child Action North West, at St Mary’s Parish Centre on December 16.

The Tim Firth comedy observes a primary school class as it prepares for the annual nativity.
