BLANCMANGE, one of the most influential electronic outfits of the 1980s, are to play a show at Darwen’s Library Theatre in May.
The gig marks a homecoming event for singer Neil Arthur who grew up in the town before going to art college in London where he met fellow bandmate Stephen Luscombe.
Between 1982 and 1985 they had seven top 40 hit singles including Living On The Ceiling and two top 40 albums.
Last year the duo reformed to release their first album in 25 years, the critically-acclaimed Blanc Burn and now they are heading out on tour.
Tickets for the show at Darwen on Wednesday, May 9 are £15 in advance. They go on sale at 10am this morning from 01254 706006 or 0844 847 1664.
