DRAMATIC duo Patrick Walsh and Claire St Pierre are ready to cast couples for their directorial debut.

They will tonight host an audition reading for Blackburn Drama Club’s 2014-15 season opener Duets, which will be staged at Thwaites Empire Theatre in September.

The reading, at the theatre from 7.30pm, is the first in a series of events to select players for the new line-up of plays.

On Thursday, at the same time and place, director Therese Ball will be reading for Ladies Day, to be performed in April.

Next Tuesday, Alan Bennett comedy Habeas Corpus will be cast, with director Steven Derbyshire, for performance in November.

And in Thursday, June 12, Martyn Pugh will be casting Humble Boy, which will be staged in March.

A spokesman for the club said: “If you are interested in a part, please do attend. If you really cannot attend but would still like to be considered for a part, please let us know.”
