FOLLOWING a hugely successful winter tour, The South have announced a new series of dates for 2014 including one at Preston’s 53 Degrees.

The band, featuring ex members of The Beautiful South, Dave Hemingway and Alison Wheeler, will be singing many of Beeautiful South hits including A Little Time, Don’t Marry Her, Rotterdam and Perfect 10 and many more from their back catalogue.

The nine-piece band will also be performing several songs from their debut album as The South, Sweet Refrains.

The Beautiful South called time on their career in 2008 after selling 15 million records worldwide with original bassist Norman Cook having major success as Fat Boy Slim and Paul Heaton embarking on an acclaimed solo career, but original members Hemingway and Wheeler were determined to keep on performing and The South were born.

Tickets are now on sale for the 53 Degrees show on May 3 from 0871 220 0260.
