A BLISSFUL night’s comedy awaits audiences of Rossendale Players new season.
Noel Coward’s 1920s’ comedy of manners Hay Fever opens at the New Millennium Theatre, Waterfoot, on Saturday, The tale centres on the very eccentric – and quintessentially English – Bliss family, as misjudged meetings, secret seductions and scandalous revelations reach fever pitch when four guests come to stay for the weekend.
Ignorance really is bliss for the ensemble cast, led by director Jean Teasdale.
Saturday’s opening night tickets cost £10 including port and cheese, will tickets for the rest of the run, until Saturday, October 5, costing £7, by calling 01706 228720 or in person from Watts News, next to the theatre, on Burnley Road East.
