Canadian classic rock band April Moon, who have recently relocated to Southport are playing various gigs in the Chorley area including at the Minstrel pub in Chorley on Friday, March 8.
The band, featuring Jaime April and Jason Moon often play as a duo, but have recently started playing with Chorley-based drummer Alan Dye and Skelmersdale bassist, Mike Halewood.
The band cover songs from favourite artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival, David Bowie, the Beatles, the Who, the Doors, Pink Floyd, the Stones, the Police, the Kinks and Queen.
Jason and Jaime met as actors in the Saskatchewan theatre scene before playing music together.
After several months playing as a duo across the Canadian prairies, the snow started to fall and the pair decided to head to a corner of the world they had fallen in love with on previous visits, the Northwest of England.
Jason and Jaime will also play as a duo at Seven Stars, Leyland on Saturday, March 16; Top Lock, Chorley, March 21; Gillibrand, March 29; Pearsons, Chorley, April 5 and Prince of Wales, Chorley, on April 14.
