Classical pianist to play charity Valentine concert in Blackburn
2:53pm Monday 28th January 2013 in What's on in Lancashire
Paul Greenhalgh
A CLASSICAL pianist is to perform at a concert in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Paul Greenhalgh, who is also the principal at the Blackburn School of Music, will play at the charity’s Valentine’s Concert alongside soprano Camilla Kerslake, The Swing Band from St Christopher’s CE High School in Accrington and The Choristers from Blackburn Cathedral.
The Valentine’s Appeal, now in its third year, is a month long campaign that aims to raise £30,000 of vital funds for additional facilities and equipment for cancer patients across the region.
Mr Greenhalgh, who also teaches piano at Stonyhurst College in the Ribble Valley, said: “Rosemere Cancer Foundation does great work within the region and with cancer touching so many people’s lives I wanted to help the charity raise much needed funds during it’s Valentine’s Appeal.
“The concert will be a fantastic evening and so I urge people to buy their tickets now and help a very worthwhile local cause.”
The show will take place on Febraury 15 at Blackburn Cathedral.
