Carols sung by candlelight
2:43pm Friday 30th November 2012 in What's on in Lancashire
SOME of the finest classical voices will get the Ribble Valley in the festive spirit at a candlelit carol concert next Friday night.
The event, at Christ Church, Chatburn, will feature baritone John Garrett who will be leading the Nelson Ladies Choir.
John will then also join The Scholars, a quartet all studying at the Royal Nothern college of Music with him.
Completing the line-up will be teenage soprano Grace O’Malley.
The programme will include a wide range of music from classical to popular pieces plus a number of Christmas carols in which the audience will be invited to sing along.
Event organiser Clive Greenwood said: “Some of the best voices in the region have been assembled to give a rich and memorable concert.”
It is also hoped that the programme of events for 2013 will be announced during the evening.
Tickets, priced £8 from 01200 441624.
