A COMEDY version of the classic nativity play will be presented in Clitheroe on December 16.

The Flint Street Nativity, which is being staged by Blackburn Arts Club is in aid of Wilpshire-based charity Child Action Northwest.

There will be two performances, one at 2pm and another at 7.30pm, and tickets are available by calling 01200 425522 or 01254 244700.

Director Alison Bell said: “Many people will know Flint Street from the 1999 version featuring a line-up of very famous comedians like Jane Horrocks, Frank Skinner, Neil Morrissey, and Stephen Tompkinson.

“The stage version is funnier and contains music with the children’s personalities and inner thoughts revealed through the words of the carols sung to the original tunes.”
