Halloween Special! Which of our celebrities cast away their gools and were fearless, and which in your opinion should be frightened away?

A very camp Paso Doblé opening from our male dancers, which looked more like an excerpt from Pricilla Queen of the Desert, meets Goths on tour.

But then having seen what the BBC costume department had dressed our couples in definitely made it more pantomime than panic and fear, and I found the judges scoring quite horrifying and all over the place.

Did you?

Pamela and James : Jive Craig 6, Len 7, Alisha 7, Bruno 7, Total : 27

Great leg action from Pamela, with good controlled kicks, if anything she was a little heavy footed in places and needed more elevation on her chasse, a little mistake half way through made her loose timing and energy, so not Pamela’s best performance but still very good.

Tina and Jared: Argentine Tango Craig 6, Len 8, Alisha 7, Bruno 7, Total: 28

Tina looked and performed fantastically, but unfortunately for me, having only recognised one Argentine step, I found the routine very start and stop. Tina has an excellent natural rhythm but the choreography was not up to the same level.

Kara and Artem : Paso Doblé Craig 9, Len 9, Alisha 10, Bruno 9, Total: 37

An amazing performance from these two this week, passionate, exciting, well controlled, with brilliant technique definitely their best dance to date, and receiving a definitely deserving ten, she owned the floor, a truly professional demonstration, well danced.

Patsy and Robin:Jive Craig 7, Len 8, Alisha 8, Bruno 8, Total: 31

A good clean basic routine with some added quirky comedy moments, a few little timing issues and Patsy needed to use her quadriceps more on her kicks, not a bad effort but for me overall a little flat in places.

Felicity and Vincent : Viennese Waltz Craig 6, Len 7, Alisha 6, Bruno 7, Total: 26

An elegant Viennese Waltz, effortless and simple in choreography, great frame and top line from Felicity in a stunning outfit, maybe a little skippy in places, which is a common fault for this dance, but a great performance.

Jimi and Flavia : Paso Doblé Craig 7, Len 7, Alisha 8, Bruno 8, Total 30

How weird did Jimi look with his cat eyed contact lenses? When I did manage to look from behind the settee it was a very strong attempt from Jimi, good Paso shaping, masculine and precise, a little laboured on the cape work but a much stronger performance from Jimi this week.

Michelle and Brendan: Jive Craig 7, Len 6, Alisha 8, Bruno 8, Total: 29

Michelle’s best dance to date, Brendan scared me in his Halloween outfit a did really look like Richard O’Brian, Bruno’s comment was right on the money for me, poor technique but a fantastic performance value, but Len & Brendan’s little cat fight at the end was personal and uncalled for.

Gavin and Katya : Paso Doblé Craig 5, Len 7, Alisha 7, Bruno 7, Total: 26

Gavin’ s Chippendale Paso reminded me of a cheap ladies night, at a Wakefield working men’s club, there was some nice shaping and a glimmer of performance from Gavin and he has obviously worked very hard again on his technique this week.

Scott and Natalie : Viennese Waltz Craig 9, Len 10, Alisha 10, Bruno 10, Total: 39

Easily the best Viennese Waltz from any celebrity on a Strictly series, pure executed natural and reverse turns, amazing double pivots and fleckle, truly perfect, if Scott can continue to improve week on week as he already has he will not be the winner of Strictly Come Dancing but eligible to dance in an open competition with Natalie and stand his own ground.

Ann and Anton : Paso Drag A doblé Craig 2, Len 5, Alisha 5, Bruno 4, Total:16

In all my years if dancing I do not think I have ever seen anything quite so disturbing! There were some nice ‘sixteen’ steps but the drag scene at the end was just simply weird.

Matt and Aliona : Argentine Tango Craig 8, Len 8, Alisha 9, Bruno 9, Total: 34

An extremely well choreographed routine, with great control throughout, I do agree with Lens comment about the lifts, the first one suited the routine but the other two, even though they were executed very well did not fit with the routine, Matt’s knees needed to be a little more relaxed but Aliona worked him fantastically.

Sunday Results Show.

The wrong couples were in the bottom two this week, Tina and Jared, and Felicity and Vincent, but out of the two couples it was right for Tina and Jared to go.

Do you agree?
