WE should now be seeing the celebrities dividing into two groups, the Strictly Ballroom leapers and the Ballroom Blitz blunderers, the male celebrities are very strong this year, do you think we could end up with an all male final?

Frankie & Kevin Cha Cha C8 D8 L8 B8 T32

What an opening to tonight’s show, a fluid action developing from Frankie although there were a couple of little leg and ankle movements that I have seen her dance with more precision over the last few weeks, but she certainly does have the potential to go a very long way in the competition. Now take care with the arm lines not to push them back behind the shoulder line Frankie.

Mark & Karen Quickstep C7 D7 L7 B8 T27

Mark can definitely move around the floor very well, the routine was very clean and precise, I would personally prefer to see a little more Quickstep content, but the speed and light feel was great.

Judy & Anton Tango C4 D6 L6 B6 T22

A much more confident routine from Judy this week and the Tango does suite her more than the Latin dances. I was not sure about the illegal lifts either, but a very good strong routine and easily her best dance to date.

Simon & Kristina Charleston C7 D8 L8 B8 T31

I loved the routine and choreography of their Charleston, Simon has a great action and lively approach. A very well rehearsed performance with slick timing, for me this was one of the best Charleston’s to ever hit our Strictly screens.

Alison & Aljaz Samba C6 D7 L7 B7 T27

The fun characterisation and style Alison oozes out is truly infectious, you cannot help grinning from ear to ear. Alison was still a little flat footed in places but the energy she brings to the dance floor is through the roof.

Scott & Joanne American Smooth (Foxtrot) C2 D5 L4 B4 T15

It all felt very rushed and panicky, there was however a lot of drama and a few glimpses of something, but I am not sure quite what?

Steve & Ola Salsa C6 D7 L7 B7 T27

Steve just makes Ola look like a rag doll the way he throws her around, to say he is such a large bloke you would expect him to look a little more awkward on the floor but he is very light on his feet, more work was needed on his Salsa action but a great lively performance.

Pixie & Trent Rumba C8 D8 L8 B8 T32

An amazing leg line from Pixie, this was truly a professional performance, and she made the Rumba dance look effortless. I loved the power, passion and presentation in fact I loved every second!

Tim & Natalie Paso Doblé C3 D6 L5 B5 T 19

Tim the Matador or was it “Waft the Mat at the Door?” His cape work looked a little like wafting the bed sheets in the wind and Natalie did look like she was having to over dance everything, however a vast improvement on last week, Just!

Sunetra & Brendan Salsa C6 D7 L7 B7 T 27

A very confident performance from Sunetra this week there was some great footwork and she has a very nice action developing. A very well choreographed routine performed extremely well.

Thom & Iveta Foxtrot C6 D8 L8 B8 T30

Thom definitely owns the dance floor, his style and presentation is very strong and he looks like he has been dancing for years, there were however a few little technical issues with the flow of the Foxtrot but a very convincing performance.

Jake & Janette Jive C8 D9 L8 B8 T33

Great kicks from Jake which is what makes a Jive come alive, a very well polished routine and Jake just keeps going from strength to strength, if anything I would have liked to see a slightly lighter ‘back ball change’ but overall a great Jive.

Caroline & Pasha Quickstep C8 D8 L9 B8 T33

A quality Quickstep from Caroline that was light, fast, controlled, dynamic and precise. A very difficult routine that was mastered and performed very well.

Sunday Results Show A very different kind of routine to open the results show this week from our professional dancers and I loved it, but with Mark & Karen in the bottom two joined by Tim & Natalie. Both couples performed better but fortunately we see Mark & Karen perform again next week.
