X Factor’s Diana Vickers in scuffle on stage

DIANA Vickers was caught up in a stage scuffle during a performance at a nightclub in Salisbury.

The 17-year-old former Westholme School student was halfway through a performance of Take That’s Patience at The Chapel nightclub on Friday when she was almost knocked to the floor.

It appears from footage taken by crowd members that a male fan approached Diana from her right and put his arm around her.

Several security guards saw the man and ran over to him, knocking him out of the way and brushing Diana at the same time.

Some members of the audience booed as Diana left the stage temporarily but she returned five minutes later to finish her set.

Glad to hear that Diana was ok despite the incident and that she was able to finish her set.

Before all the negative comments start pouring in, I would just like to share some proven psychological findings with you -
"People with unmet goals, people who were emotionally abused and people with violated rights may end up being angry at everything. They live a miserable life and curse everyone they find in their way as if others carry part of the blame for what happened to them. Those are the overly critical and the overly sarcastic people you meet in your life.
The mind of the person lacking self confidence is usually full of negative messages and that’s why the excess negative messages travel to the other people around him in the form of criticism. The conclusion is, The overly critical person usually lacks self confidence."
This is not my opinion - it is medical theory.

Wow, poor girl! I'm so glad security reacted so quickly. I'm pretty sure the man didn't mean any harm, but after watching the video on youtube I can honestly understand why they reacted the way they did. The guy seemed to come up so quickly. It was hard to guess his intentions. Then he nearly pulled Diana down because he was still holding on to her as he was being pushed down by security. I'm glad Diana didn't get hurt. She's a real pro going right back out like that and doing an amazing set for the audience.

What kind of life should we have, you're always going on about it? I mean one's got to do more than litter picking!
I think you should stand up for the Volunteer Services in your area they would be pleased with you advocating that people should do something useful like litter picking!
It would be a kinder and more respectful world if people did something for someone!

How right you are Para Handy!

RAyzer,
You are right there are better singers in the pubs.
Big Brother? If the viewers watched the contestants through a window they would be called, "Peeping Toms," and if caught would be sent to jail.
BB is for people who are show offs who think very little of themselves.
I'd rather watch the singers down the pub because if i had to watch paint dry i think i would be asking for some form of help.

Ha, I love this-

'Diana thinks she is Noel Gallagher.'

Like she paid some guy to get up on stage and harass her. Idiot.

Clever Clogs- Not too clever.

Rayzer- Utterly pointless.

Nad- Stupid?, It's text book. THAT WAS THE POINT.

Totally- Why do we bother?

If you watch the video, it wasn't even a big deal. Bouncers just made a meal of it as per.
More power to her for comming back on though!

Clever Clogs-

I just thought I'd clarify because I doubt you know why I'm saying you're not too clever.
You said-

'So all the people that booed Diana off stage have an issue.'

It amazes me that this needs to be pointed out for the neurologically challenged among us but in the interest of truth and justice...

THE CROWD WERE BOOING THE IDIOT THAT CAME ON STAGE BECAUSE THEY'D TURNED UP TO WATCH DIANA.
WHEN SHE APPEARED TO COMPLETE THE SET, THE CROWD WENT WILD.

The internet can be used for many great things. Unfortunately, monkeys like you seem to able to use a keyboard and formulate sentences. But who am I to insult the monkeys?

Blondie, says...
9:51am Sun 18 Jan 09

The Reason,
The crowd were booing Diana, just watch the videos. because she left the stage.
Which showed her lack of professionalism.
You know that old saying, "The Show must go on."
Diana from what i read in a tabloid did not complete her gig as expected. Not very professional either.
Now was she miming? That too has been reported by someone who was in the audience as she was stil singing as she left the stage.
Of course the internet is a wonderful thing.
Reading clever clogs post made sense but you too fall into Totally's Theory by thinking that the crowd were booing the lad who put his arms around her.
Oh and there is no need to shout, just maybe you do fall into that theory after all.

I did not mis-read your post. The booing crowd must fall into the medical clap trap that you had dug up because they were angry at Diana for leaving the stage. One young girl took a clip where she can be heard shouting, "Don't boo her." The DJ made excuses for Diana too blaming her age. You can call Blondie fit to burn and The Reason wont feed her so flaming heck what does this say about you two? Me thinks you fit codswallop theory too.

The below is an extract from the lakeland echo on the 19th jan..

During a chat with a group of local revellers, Diana said she'd had a meeting with a record company the same day and said recent reports that she was attacked on stage at a nightclub appearance were "blown out of proportion".

Totally, Blackburn says...
7:02pm Mon 19 Jan 09

Clever Clogs - it looks like I have to explain this although I'd rather not.

Theories on human behaviour are based on regular patterns of behaviour, not isolated incidents.

My original post relates to patterns of behaviour and for the past five months a few people have posted unprovoked vicious comments on these threads about Diana.
Five months repetition constitutes a pattern of behaviour.

The people booing in the club was an isolated incident - I don't know anything else about the behaviour of those people so couldn't comment let alone apply a theory.

If you look back over previous threads you will see all the evidence you need.

People like me and The Reason are on these threads because we support Diana and if people are malicious about her then we will retaliate.

Our motive is to defend a nice young girl who hasn't done anything to warrant some of the verbal abuse that appears on this site.

Although I have asked several times, the vicious people on here have failed to explain what their motives are for verbally bullying a teenage girl, but I think the theory in my original post is the nearest we will get to an explanation.

Totally, Blackburn says...
7:12pm Mon 19 Jan 09

The Reason - I am extremely grateful for your existence ... too many other people appear to have the power of speech without the art of conversation.

If Diana wasn't so deserving of support, I would have given up on this months ago!

Totally...I don't understand anyone who wants to retaliate in a form of nastiness in relation to any action! I personally don't think it's justified. Psychologically speaking to retaliate, in my opinion, makes TheReason as bad as the perpetrator, in this case Blondie!
You have the right to have your say in an assertive manner that expresses how you feel, and that comes from a psychologically whole person.
The dynamics of human behaviour are complex. I don't know if TheReason's feelings were of a conscious or unconscious state, though I do understand some of their feelings of defence regarding Diana.
Sometimes I feel the Diana fans take the comments on as a "personal attack" which they're not, as they are about Diana. Most people appear to be using media based facts in their writings, unless they know Diana personally. I don't know if she's a nice 17year old girl or not. What we see isn't always what we get!
I'm not defending Blondie, or anyone, who makes personal comments to fellow contributers that are offensive.
However, it's good that Diana has a couple of loyal fans on here to support her, shame there wasn't more as there would be a more balance of opinion.
