WHAT do you get if you cross a panda with a bottle of gin? The answer to this rather unusual question will be revealed during Rossendale Players’ final play of the season A Night on the Tiles.

The comedy, by Frank Vickery, which runs until Saturday, opens on the day of Gareth and Shirley’s wedding which goes far from smoothly. Gareth tries to get through the day with a hangover while Shirley is hiding a secret.

A love triangle quickly emerges. Throw in a Grandpa who accidentally locks himself in the outdoor loo, a nosey next door neighbour and a giant cuddly panda called Dave and you have the makings of a great evening of laughter.

Will they all get to the church on time? And will Gareth and Shirley get their happy ending?

The play is being staged at the New Millennium Theatre on Burnley Road East, Waterfoot. All performances start at 7.30pm, door opens at 7.00pm. Tickets are £8 and can be reserved by calling Anne Riding on 01706 228720 or purchased from Watts News (next door to the theatre). On the door tickets are subject to availability.

A Night on the Tiles will be the final production of the current season. The Rossendale Players’ has announced the plays they have selected for their next season which starts in September.
