DATES have been announced for the next World of Comedy gigs in Blackburn and Darwen.

After a successful run last year at Thwaites Empire Theatre, Blackburn comic and organiser Junaid Musa is back with more local talent.

This year World of Comedy is being held in different locations in the borough, including its Ewood base at Thwaites’, held in the bar area to create a comedy club atmosphere.

Junaid said: “We wanted to keep a 'comedy club' atmosphere to the event and allow for members of the audience to have a drink whilst actually watching the show, as opposed to just during intervals.”

There will be eight different comedians from around the British comedy circuit performing a series of hilarious comedy including Jim Bayes, Theresa Farlow, Frasco Fools and Shaun Elvey.

Tickets are £5 each, to reserve email, tickets@worldofcomedy.co.uk

The World of Comedy nights will be on Saturday, March 22 at Hoddlesden Con Club, Darwen; Monday, April 7, The Crown Pub, Darwen and Thursday. April 10 at the Thwaites Empire Theatre, Blackburn.
