BLACKBURN Arts Club is going back in time to Paris in the Belle Epoque for a French farce this spring.
Monkey’s Uncle, by David Lewis, will be staged by the Gibraltar Street theatre-based group from March 12 to 16.
Producer Geoff Baron said: “This is a French farce with a twist; the play examines the mayhem caused when our animal instincts come into conflict with our civilised veneers.
“Georges Feydeau is trying to write his latest farce while juggling his long-suffering wife, a racy mistress and two desperate associates. His latest plot and hectic life begin to blur into one until it all spirals into the 21st Century.”
