Sam Smith has revealed the title and release date for his hotly anticipated second album after teasing fans on social media.

The singer-songwriter’s record is called The Thrill Of It All and will be available from November 3.

Smith, 25, recently returned to the spotlight with single Too Good At Goodbyes, which went straight to number one in the singles charts and has remained there for three weeks.

The track is the lead single from his new album, a follow-up to his successful 2014 debut, In The Lonely Hour.

After teasing his 4.9 million followers they had just minutes to wait, the British star wrote on Twitter: “My beautiful fans, I am so so excited to finally share this news…

“My second album ‘The Thrill Of It All’ is yours Nov 3rd!!”

On Instagram, he shared the tracklisting for the record, which has 10 tracks with song titles including Say It First, Midnight Train and Him.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed Smith will star in his own BBC Music Entertainment programme called Sam Smith At The BBC, following in the footsteps of singer-songwriter Adele.
