Jeremy Sisto stars as a professional tennis player in new comedy Break Point, but revealed even after weeks of training he couldn’t beat co-star David Walton in a match.

Clueless star Jeremy’s character is a washed-up pro tennis player who persuades his teacher brother (David) to become his doubles partner, as he makes one last bid to win a championship. But on the court the dynamic was very different when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Jeremy revealed: “The truth is he always beats me. He started when he was young, and went to tennis camp, prep school kid, that kind of thing.

“But not me, I came up from a hard life. I worked my butt of to try and look like I knew what I was doing, so I was hundreds of hours on the court, where as he hadn’t played in a while.

“But he’ll always beat me because it’s in his body. It’s one of those sports, the earlier you start, the more chance you have of understanding it.”

New Girl star David admitted: “I played since I was three, I love the sport, I play all the time, So when they said I could do what I love acting, and do what I love tennis I almost fainted.

“I kicked Jeremy’s ass every second of the day, that was my goal the whole time. Cause he’s sort of the more dominant brother on-screen, so I needed to balance the scales by dominating off-screen.”

Break Point, which also stars JK Simmons as the brothers’ dad, is about to be released in US cinemas.
