Sophie Okonedo has said she wasn't disappointed about not winning an Oscar for Hotel Rwanda - but her mum was.
The British actress, 44, was nominated in the best supporting category for her role as Tatiana Rusesabagina in 2005.
Asked whether it was hard to not look upset about losing out to Cate Blanchett for her performance in The Aviator, she told the Radio Times: "It would have been difficult to fake if I'd been the favourite for it.
"But I never actually thought I was going to win, so it was OK. My mum was very disappointed, though."
Sophie has also joked that, although the nomination comes in handy, it doesn't make her feel any different when she wakes up in the morning.
"It's certainly really helpful in getting things off the ground, so it's very useful as currency," the actress said.
"As for getting you going in the morning, it doesn't matter," she joked.
