Anne Hathaway will perform a song in her next film - but this time as a rock chick.
The Les Miserables star has been picking up awards left, right and centre for her role as Fantine in the musical epic, and is nominated for an Oscar, and The Daily Mail reports she has now been cast in Song One.
Anne will play an archaeologist who falls for a rock star, to be played by British singer-actor Johnny Flynn.
Flynn is the frontman of folk band Johnny Flynn And The Sussex Wit and Johnathan Rice and Jenny Lewis are writing songs for him to perform in the film. But they are also composing one track especially for Anne.
Kate Barker-Froyland has written the film and will also direct the project as her feature debut. It is due to start shooting in America in the autumn and Anne's husband Adam Shulman is a producer on the movie.
Anne had been expected to star in Steven Spielberg's Robopocalypse, but filming has been delayed until next year.
