THERE'S nothing more entertaining than a good old cat fight.

And with the arrival of bad girl Clare Bates, that is exactly what we are going to get - she and the feisty Chelsea are never going to be bosom buddies, that much is obvious!

It's about time a bit of fun was injected back into EastEnders.

Recently it has reverted to its rather depressing old self with more misery than a morgue.

What, with this week's crisis being the sudden departure of Minty's wife-to-be Hazel after she overheared his sadness at never being a dad.

And there is still the ongoing upset from the love triangle that was Bradley, Stacey and Max, having a rippling effect on practically everyone.

So a new character on the scene is well overdue and if she has anything like the impact she had on Hollyoaks, EastEnders may well steal this year's soap awards.

Little Clare left Walford with stepdad Nigel after the tragic death of her mum, Debbie.

Now she's back and all grown-up, and seems to have brought with her every ounce of oomph from her days as the evil Clare Cunningham in Channel 4's Hollyoaks.

I wonder who she'll take a dislike to in Albert Square.

Her new neighbours had better be nice to her or they could find themselves six feet under.
