I HOPE you all had your tissues at the ready for last night's Corrie?

It's hard to believe Vera Duckworth is really no longer with us, isn't it?

She's been such a massive part of the Street for so long that her death is as significant as the Rovers Return burning down.

Corrie scriptwriters played out the funeral scenes last night perfectly, and I doubt there was a dry eye while millions of loyal fans said a last goodbye to our Vera.

As usual, actor William Tarmey, playing hapless Jack, rose to the challenge superbly.

Although Jack and Vera's back-biting and bickering was near legendary in Weatherfield, goodness knows they loved each other.

Normally known for his scams to slope off to the pub or avoid Vera's company, Jack was reduced to a shadow of his former self and there were fears he wouldn't get through the day.

A broken man played beautifully.

Of course, Street bosses couldn't pass up this opportunity to wheel out bad lad "our Terry".

The baby-selling, unreliable, low-down cheater surely wouldn't be up to his old tricks at his mam's funeral would he?

Of course he would.

It was nice to see actor Nigel Pivaro back on the screen, though - he's got a career as a journalist now, you know.

Although we live in Florida now Coronation Street is still a part of our lives. when I am asked what I miss about England, the answer is not the pubs or yorkshire pudding it's Coronation Street. The writers are so good and the stars are perfect so unique. Two that stand out to me are Dev and Becky, Dev is sooo funny that guy should get an Oscar for his great acting. Becky I din't like when she first came on but she is my fave now and to think she comes from Barnsley (where I come from) is awesome. KEEP IT UP GUYS YOUR ARE VERY ENTERTAINING. I feel sorry for Emily she has never been entertaining all these years..just boring, but who cares the rest are good. Rosey you lil tart stop it!
