A POETRY comedy performance which wowed at the Glastonbury Festival is coming to Blackburn.
Performance poet Tony Walsh, known as Longfella, is bringing his trademark mix of humour and controversy to an event at Blackburn Library. His work has been published in the UK, US and Russia, commissioned by BBC television and radio, and showcased at prestigious international poetry festivals.
This year he has been part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s anniversary celebrations; and was Poet in Residence for the world-renowned Glastonbury Festival.
Tony will be leading a two hour writing workshop with a theme of ‘northern cheer’ after a performance of his own work.
The event with Longfella is at Blackburn library on Monday September 30 at 7pm. Admission is £1 but places are limited so it is advisable to book in advance.
