Divine caught my eye as an intriguing little coffee shop.

The exterior looks lovely and the windows are well dressed with plants, buddahs and miniature water features.

So, with a rumbling stomach, my lunch was calling me into the cafe, with my friend and I excited to see what was on offer.

The atmosphere is cosy and calming, with plenty of tables to choose from for those eating and comfy bucket seats if you are just having a coffee.

After scanning through the menu, I was unable to decide from a choice of mouthwatering sandwiches, panninis and jacket potatoes, all packed with seasoned ingredients.

There’s a range of reasonably priced items to choose from, but the sweet chilli chicken sandwich was my choice, served on brown bread.

Although a friendly waiter pointed out the specials board, I stayed with my choice, and also ordered tea for one.

The service was fast and I was impressed with the quality once my lunch arrived. The sandwich was served with generous chunks of warm, sweet chilli chicken with a side salad and coleslaw. My friend was equally as impressed, with her lemongrass chicken pannini, packed with flavour. Accompanied by a soft drink, the bill came to just under the £14 mark.

The takeaway service seemed to be busy but it didn’t stop the cafe service being good.

Unfortunately, this time I wasn’t tempted by a fresh scone or one of the delicious cakes on offer, but when I return next time, I will certainly be taking advantage.
