A RECORD 2,600 real ale lovers flocked to the 7th Pendle Beer Festival in Colne, organisers have revealed.
East Lancashire CAMRA is toasting the success of the three-day event at the Muni Theatre which raised £5,500 for Pendleside Hospice.
And they supped more than 10,000 pints of beer from the 168 beers that were available during the festival.
More than 75 CAMRA members gave up their spare time to pull pints.
Martyn Pashley, festival organiser, thanked everyone who attended the trouble-free festival.
The 8th Pendle Beer Festival is due to be held at The Muni in Colne, between February 2 and 4 next year.
