THINK Bjork meets Liz Fraser with a Hebridean twist and you're getting to understand Fiona Mackenzie.

It will no doubt be labelled folk, but the clarity of vocal and the subtlety of the song writing deserves a wider audience.

With any luck Fiona should be the latest island girl' to go on and achieve mainland success.

This album is absolutely stunning! I've just received my copy and have listened to it for several complete runs. It really is so beautifully produced - the voice is so emotive and the accompanying instrumentals are sublime. I doubt if there will be many more effective albums this year. It has such a potentially wide appeal that it certainly deserves a wide exposure. If you get the chance to hear it you will, I am sure, feel very moved by it.
