ALLEGEDLY recorded in the basement of a brothel, this is very much a CD of two halves.
You get Lupen Crook's frail acoustic offerings and then in come his band, The Muderbirds, to take the songs in a whole new direction.
Personally I prefer the more melodic "full band" sound.
