TREMOR by Ryan Mark, £8.99

THIS post-apocalyptic novel by 25-year-old Kendal man Ryan Mark has already attracted dozens of five-star views on Amazon, which helped it rise to the number one spot on the website's 'new release' list earlier this year.

The book reveals the dystopian adventures of protagonist William after his world is left devastated by the Fossil War. All major governments have been wiped out and the land is now under the control of a company called Terrafall.

Although the firm is ostensibly an honest organisation, William is concerned that it might not be able to live up to its promises to stop the tremors which have been plaguing the Earth since the end of the war. Add to this a wave of abductions and you have a haunting mix of circumstances which leave William's world crumbling around him.

Tremor was published in paperback by Britain's Next Besteller, an imprint of London-based Live It Publishing, after gaining the 250 online orders required to achieve the deal.

Ryan is currently working on a sequel - Tremor, the Fracture.
