DOES my bum look big in this?

If you’ve gotta ask the question, then the answer’s usually yes.

But all that’s about to change if Trinny and Susannah have their way.

The gruesome twosome – best known for bullying their victims like posh boarding school girls – were out last night to tackle the ever-present problem us women seem to have: Big bums.

Apparently we’ve all been getting it wrong though. The correct way to dress a plump derriere isn’t to swathe it in baggy pants or tie jumpers around our waist. It’s the opposite in fact. To make a bum look smaller you’ve got to bite the bullet and show it off.

Last night’s hour-long programme took some women who were so distressed at their ballooning bottoms that they did all sorts of things to disguise them – including never glancing in a mirror from behind.

Personally I wished they’d been a bit more "Gok Wan" about the whole thing and encouraged the women to throw off their self-doubt and embrace the J-Lo and Beyonce attitude of loving your booty.

But it’s not their style, I suppose.

At least they gave some good advice, persuading the bottom-phobes to throw out their bikini briefs and embrace industrial-looking support pants.

And I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that Trinny and Susannah have a range of support pants on the market.
