HEAT three of the Lancashire Telegraph-backed Reidy’s Talent Contest was dominated by bands with three getting through to the grand final.
Acoustic folk group, the Susie Jones Band, coped with the loss of their guitarist due to a funeral and still went through.
Also chosen by the panel of judges were Darwen-based rock band Fear The Fallen and energetic trio English Outback from Blackburn.
Next Thursday sees the final heat of the competition which aims to find East Lancashire’s most talented musicians and performers.
The overall winner will receive £1,000 in vouchers to spend at Reidy’s Music Superstore in Blackburn.
The competition has proved so popular that organisers have announced that the final – on Thursday, March 7 – will be moved to the Windsor Suite at King George’s Hall from Blakey’s.
Other bands and artists who took part in Thursday night’s heat were: Brian Hobs, Crystal ItchPigwitch, Wreckless, Just a Minicase and Ben and Rachel.
Tickets for next week’s heat and the grand final are available from the box office at King George’s Hall on 0844 847 1664, priced £3.
