The second instalment of the Six Chair Challenge saw more tears, tantrums and tension as Nick Grimshaw chose the six boys he wants for the next round of The X Factor.

Mason Noise controversially left the ITV singing show after clashing with head judge Simon Cowell, who branded him an a******e, while Tom Bleasby was de-seated – only to steal a chair back from Nathanael Landskroner.

It was also time to say goodbye to Italian singing teacher Davide Papasidero and his flamboyant outfits, after he lost his chair to Josh Daniel.

After some tough choices, Nick’s made his final decision and here are the six boys going through to Judges’ Houses.

1. Tom Bleasby.

With his powerful falsetto, the 19-year-old Leeds student must have been delighted when he won the first seat after performing Whitney Houston’s I Look To You, only for Ben Clark to take his place.

His rollercoaster of emotions continued when he was called back and swapped seats with Horsham teenager Nathanael Landskroner, who was the youngest in the category at the age of 16.

2. Ben Clark.

The 25-year-old receptionist and part-time singer from Coventry impressed the judges with his emotional rendition of Kodaline’s All I Want, and received a standing ovation from Simon.

But with all six seats already occupied, he took Tom’s chair from him.

3. Che Chesterman.

The 19-year-old singer and songwriter from Essex has been a strong contender from the start, and he appears to be getting more comfortable on stage, delivering a pretty amazing version of James Brown’s It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini high-fived Nick, and all four judges – Simon, Cheryl, Nick and Rita Ora – gave him a standing ovation.

With all six seats already occupied, Nick decided to swap Che with Ollie Marland, who in turn had previously taken the chair from Jamie Eldridge.

4. Simon Lynch.

Simon, the 23-year-old marketing assistant from the Isle of Man, took the fourth seat after he wowed Nick with his performance of Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand.

Having already channelled his inner diva with Beyonce and Roberta Flack songs, he chose to take on the British singer’s chart-topping hit – and succeeded.

5. Josh Daniel.

The 21-year-old may be a mechanic from Billingham, but Josh showed his softer side when he sang Emeli Sande’s ballad Clown for the Six Chair challenge.

After admitting that he felt “unsettled” following Mason’s tantrum, Josh found his voice and managed to steal Davide Papasidero’s seat.

6. Seann Miley Moore.

Seann, who is originally from Sydney, Australia, won the sixth and final chair with his rendition of Shirley Bassey’s I Who Have Nothing, dressed in seven inch heels and a revealing wrap-dress.

Despite strong competition, the 24-year-old held onto his seat and is through to the next round.
