The International Animated Film Society announced the nominations for the 43rd annual Annie Awards, which recognise the best in animated entertainment.

Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur will be competing for best animated feature against The Peanuts Movie, Charlie Kaufman’s dark comedy Anomalisa, and the British TV series-inspired Shaun The Sheep Movie, which all picked up five nominations.

A new category has been added by the society to recognise the best in independent feature animation, with nominees including Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet and Studio Ghibli’s When Marnie Was There.

The winners will be announced at the Los Angeles ceremony on February 6 2016.
