Review: Single – Vagabond – Sweat (Until The Morning)

By Mark Horne »

VAGABOND are hyped as mid-market, soulful, sexy pop – so they could be very big indeed.

This single slots somewhere between The Lighthouse Family and Simply Red, but with seamier lyrics, as the title suggests.

Fronted by Alex Vargus, who is appropriately good-looking, Vagabond have support slots this summer with James Morrison, so they're heading in the right direction.

But despite the slightly sordid lyrics, Sweat (Until The Morning) will still be too saccharine for many listeners, and if your CD collection doesn't feature a lot of Sunday newspaper freebies, you should probably give Vagabond a miss.
